Tento liek patrí do skupiny liekov, ktoré sa nazývajú intravenózne imunoglobulíny. Tieto lieky sa používajú na liečbu pacientov v situáciách, keď ich obranný (imunitný) systém dostatočne nepracuje. Liek sa používa na liečbu: pre pacientov, ktorí nemajú dostatočné protilátky (substitučná liečba) a pacientov s určitým autoimunitným ochorením (imunomodulácia).
